Safety, Ecological aspects
For your safety the apartment has three smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket. The emergency exit is equipped with a rotary cylinder so that it can be opened without a key. A list of the most important telephone numbers can be found in the information folder.
The electricity comes from 100% renewable sources (mainly hydropower). All light sources are energy-saving LEDs. Almost exclusively biodegradable cleaning agents are used for cleaning.

Beatenberg
Beatenberg is a wonderful sun terrace in the Bernese Alps. The view at the lake and the mountains (particularly the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau) is unique. The world famous town of Interlaken, at 15km, the attractiv towns of Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren are easily accessible and of course the Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe: Top of Europe. Who also likes places and ways away from all the tourists is at the right place in Beatenberg.
Beatenberg is 7 km long and therefore known as "the longest village in Europe". It is a sun terrace on the southern slope of the Niederhorn with many old wooden houses, which are decorated with lovely flowers. A fine bakery, natural drugstore, doctor's office, banks, post office and several restaurants provide for the guests. Every Sunday the bells of the beautiful church from the 17th century invite to the service.
